Musical Use of the Cello.

The cello has 4 strings tuned in fifths : C, G, D and A ( below middle * ; these are tuned precisely one octave below the viola. Click link for latest stuff about How to play violin. Thanks to the massive range of the instrument written music for the cello often swaps between the bass clef, tenor clef, and treble clef.

The cello section, in standard musical seating, is found on stage left ( the audience's right ) in the front, opposite to the 1st violin section. There also are cello concertos, which are musical pieces in which a featured, solo cellist is accompanied by a whole orchestra. It's a style which has become known as cello rock.
